The Chairman of Gwale Local Government Area, Alhaji Khalid Ishaq Diso has donated two Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles to Kano State Police Command.
Diso said he was impressed by the way and manner the Antidaba (anti-thugs) police outfit has been performing its duties.
“They are doing a very good job; enduring peace is sustained in Kano State. My people are sleeping with their two eyes closed. On my part, I am supporting the police efforts with these vehicles to help officers in terms of logistics,” he said.
Police Commissioner, Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, received the vehicles on behalf of the command.
Handing over the patrol vehicles to Bashir Musa Gwadabe, who is in charge of the Antidaba, the Police Commissioner urged the force to reciprocate the gesture, by using the vehicles judiciously and putting in more effort in discharging their duties.
A statement by the police spokesman Abdullahi Haruna, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), added that the Commissioner of Police thanked the people of Kano State for their “co-operation and support” in the fight against banditry and criminality in the country.
