PDP candidate promises improved health care

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the chairman seat in Badagry Local Government, Mr. Denagan Honfovu, has promised to improve health care, primary education and agriculture if voted for.

He spoke yesterday when his team visited Ward A in Badagry to canvas for votes.

He said he was not happy with the state of primary school education in Badagry.

“The current administration in the council has not done much in terms of primary schools in riverine area of Badagry.

“I will build primary schools at Gberefu and Agadagba to cater for children.

“It pains me to see these children coming to Badagry daily to receive primary education,” Honfovu said.

He promised to make shops at Agbalata International Market and other markets in Badagry affordable for traders.

Honfovu also promised to build more health centres at Gberefu and other communities.

He said he would create a unity government in which every member of his executive would contribute to the development of the council.

Chief Ernest Okeke, the chairman of the Ndigbo in Badagry, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) government in Badagry had disappointed the Igbo living in the town.
